Jimmie F. Wade, age 88, of the Whitlock Community in Paris, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at his residence. His graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Birds Creek Cemetery. Bro. Glynn Orr of New Hope Baptist Church will be officiating with burial to follow services. No public visitation is scheduled. Jimmie Franklin Wade was born May 11, 1935 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Benjamin F. Wade and the late Nell Nance Wade. He married Bettie R. Hurst Wade on December 23, 1957 and she preceded him in death on April 30, 2021. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Wade of Paris; son, John R. (Sarah) Wade of Murphysboro, Illinois; grandchildren, Jack Wade, Ben Wade, and Angel Wade; also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members. Besides his parents and wife, Jimmie is also preceded by a son, James F. Wade, sisters, Imogene Stephens and Maude Robinson; and brothers, Milton, Robert, Doris, Ruben, and Wallace "Jake" Wade. Mr. Wade was a member of Birds Creek Baptist Church. He worked for many years in the grocery/retail businesses. Jimmie lived in and loved the Whitlock Community.
