Jo Anne Manning Carter, age 86 of VanDyke, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her residence. Her funeral service will be at McEvoy Funeral Home at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 10, 2025, with Randy Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in VanDyke Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home after 9:00 AM on Monday, prior to the service at 11:00. Pallbearers for Ms. Carter will be her nephews and family members.

Jo Anne Manning Carter was born on October 10, 1939, to the late Clyde Martin and Novie Jane Cannon Manning. On June 15, 1957, she married Roy V. Carter, and he passed away on November 20, 2011.

Jo Anne was a life-long member of VanDyke Church of Christ.

She is survived by daughter, Mary Anne (Terry) Wilkinson of Paris; son, Roy David (Denise) Carter of Paris; granddaughter, Kayla (Justin) Morgan; great-grandchildren: Carter James Marrs and Caynen David Marrs; a niece and several nephews, and friends, including very special friend, Mary Lou Walker and her wonderful caregivers.

Besides her parents and husband, Jo Anne was also preceded in death by a grandchild, Justin Carter, a sister, Marion Coe, and brothers, Larry C. Manning and Dorman Ray Manning.
