Joan Looney, age 87 of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at Henry County Medical Center. A private family service will be held. Joan Seawright Looney was born on June 2, 1932 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Joe Dykeman Seawright and the late Mary Nash Seawright. She married George Daniel "Dan" Looney on June 2, 1950 and he preceded her in death on March 3, 2008. Joan is survived by her daughter, Dian (Bub) Edwards of Paris; son, Steve (Kathy) Looney of Paris; grandchildren, Sarah Looney, Olivia Looney, Rachel Edwards, Ben (Haley) Edwards, Katelyn (Shachar) Hovan, and Jacob (Sarah) Wilson; eight great-grandchildren; best friends, Carrie and Paul Villaflor; many other family members and special friends. Besides her parents and husband, Joan is also preceded in death by her son, Randy Looney (prec. August 24, 1985) and her brother, Jimmy Nash Seawright (prec. December 30, 1992). Ms. Looney was a longtime active member of First United Methodist Church in Paris. She worked and retired as a secretary with the Paris Special School District.
