Joan J. Thatcher

Joan J. Thatcher, age 67, of Paris, TN died Friday, December 31, 2010 at her residence. Her body is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date in Harrison, MI. Joan was married on July 6, 1985 to Dale Thatcher Sr. who survives. Joan is also survived by a daughter; Sarah Thatcher, Paris, TN, step son; Dale Thatcher. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded by parents; Coleman Francis and Beulah Kirk Jenkins, and a nephew; Craig Thatcher. Mrs. Thatcher was a graduate of Maryville College class of 1967 with a degree in education; she went on to teach Home Economics for thirteen years in Bridgman, MI. She also started a First Response Unit in Blanchard, MI. with the Millbrook Rolland Fire Department. Joan was a life time member of the Eastern Star Martha Chapter # 155 in Paris, TN
