Mrs. Joann Frederickson Thayer, age 81 of Puryear, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Henry County Medical Center. Her body is to be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time. Joann June Frederickson Thayer was born May28, 1941 in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Wendall Frederickson and the late Edna West. She married Richard Thayer on June 13, 1959 and he survives in Puryear, Tennessee. Joann is also survived by her daughter, Kellyann Bargeman and her husband Jon of Puryear; sons, Jeff Thayer and wife Carol of Manistique, Michigan, Rick Thayer and wife Nona of Marquette, Michigan, and Rodney Thayer and wife Jokey of Thailand; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Wendall Frederickson and wife Jan of Florida; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. Besides her parents, Mrs. Thayer is also preceded in death by a brother, Nick Frederickson. Joann enjoyed quilting, word search, and working jig saw puzzles. She was an excellent cook, wonderful mother and wife.
