Joanne Williams Baker, age 79, of Paris, TN, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. Funeral service 10:00AM Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Van Dyke Church of Christ with church minister Bro. Roger Banks officiating, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Visitation after 9:00AM Thursday at the Van Dyke Church of Christ. Mrs. Baker was born in Paris, TN to the late Roy and Frances Cowan Williams. On June 2, 1956 she married Gene Baker, he survives, Paris, TN. Survived by a daughter: Marsha Baker Diaz, Mt. Juliet, TN; son: Mike (Amy) Baker, Madison, AL; grandchildren: Lacey Gray Weaver, Katelyn Diaz, Alyssa Baker, Cole Baker; great-grandchildren: Kaden Weaver, Kenslee Weaver; sisters: Helen Freeman, Paris, TN, Betty (Jerry) Casteel, Paris, TN, Patricia Luckinbill, Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law: Alicia Williams, Belleview, TN; several nieces, nephews and special friends. Preceded by sisters: Dorothy Wimberley Pounds, Nancy Moon Greer; brother: John Williams and Fred Nolan, preceded as a child.
