Mr. Joe Garvis Boyd, age 71, died February 9th at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville. His funeral will be 2:00 PM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 Wednesday and after 10:00 AM Thursday. His wife, Sarah Elizabeth "Bo" Boyd survives, they were married June 14, 1963. He is survived by daughters, Paula Joella (James) Hofmann, Burke, VA, Carol R. Tate, Springfield, VA, Nina Lyn (Rod) Frey, Paris, TN, Amanda Beth (Michael) savage, Paris, TN, Brandi Jill Williams, Hazel, KY and Jennifer Dean (John) Latham, Jackson, TN, preceded by son, Joe Stace Boyd March 23, 1989. He is also survived by Mother-in-Law, Evelyn Brockwell, Paris, TN, two sisters, two sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
