Mr. Joe W. Jackson, age 85 of Paris passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday, April 10, 2017 at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow at Birds Creek Cemetery in the Whitlock Community. His family will honor him by conducting his services. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00-2:00 PM prior to the services. Joe W. Jackson was born July 1, 1931 in Benton, Kentucky to the late Wilson Jackson and the late Blanche Cope Stockdale. On October 2, 1954 he married Emma Lee Wynn Jackson who preceded him in death on June 2, 2016. Mr. Jackson is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Jeff) Frasher of Burbank, IL and Donna (Drex) Boyd of Paris, TN; two sons, Gerald W. Jackson of Amarillo, TX and Robert (Rebecca) Jackson of Paris, TN; three sisters, Ruby Farmer of Camden, TN, Shirley Stockdale of Paris, TN, and Linda Cooper of Murray, KY; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Mr. Jackson was also preceded in death by one sister, Lorene Rogers; three brothers, Dan Cooper, James Cooper Jr., and Bobby Stockdale; and one grandchild. Mr. Joe W. Jackson was a Veteran of the United States Army. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and the outdoor life. SERVICES Funeral Service
