John David "Johnny" Allen, Sr., of Big Sandy, TN passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at his residence. His funeral will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Dusty Stout officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 PM Friday prior to the service at McEvoy Funeral Home.
John David Allen was born September 10, 1944 in Michigan to the late Thurman W. Allen and the late Helen Derrington Allen. He is survived by his special friend, Phyllas Thorniley of Big Sandy, TN; daughter, Wendy Allen; son, John David Allen, Jr.; and his sister, Joan (James) Azwell of Cordova, TN.
Besides his parents, Mr. Allen was also preceded in death by his sister, Jane Ledlow.
Mr. Allen was a painter in the construction industry.
