John "Johnny" McGuire, age 89 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. His funeral service will be Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Mike Wimberly and Rev. Dennis Vance Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00PM Monday, March 19, 2018 at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 10:00AM Tuesday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Harlan Crawford, Troy Crawford, Paul Cavin, Kelly Clifton, Russ Holder, Dan Holder, and Mark Holder. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. James Crenshaw, Darryl & Wanda Dunlap, Brian Crouch, Harry Vollen, Bud Mangrum, Billy Fitzhugh, Larry Wilson, Charles Hopkins, and Wesson Clifton. John William McGuire was born November 25, 1928 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Bill McGuire and the late Ruby Stuber McGuire. On August 2, 1948 he married Joan Grace McGuire and she preceded him in death on April 3, 2010. Mr. McGuire is survived by a son, Gerald W. McGuire (Jennifer) of Jackson, TN; two grandchildren: Ann McGuire Cavin (Paul) of Jackson, TN and Melody McGuire Clifton (Kelly) of Medina, TN; a great grandchild, Wesson Don Clifton of Medina, TN; a sister-in-law, Ramelle Grace Holder of Huntsville, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. McGuire was also preceded in death by a brother, Lowell Thomas McGuire. Johnny McGuire was employed by NAPA Auto Parts for 52 years and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
