John F. Melton, age 60, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Henry County Medical Center. His funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Dusty Stout officiating. Burial will follow the service in New Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Jeff Davis, Jacky Boyd, Will Woody, Adrian Cole, Eugene Vinyard, and Brandon Melton. Visitation is scheduled on Tuesday after 11:00 A.M. until time of service. John Melton was born March 16, 1959 in Camden, Tennessee to the late Wadie F. Melton and the late Lara Alene Pierpoint Grathwell. He married Teresa "Tracy" Dunlap Melton on June 2, 1995 and she survives in Paris, Tennessee. He is also survived by daughters, Randie (Mickey) Futrell of Murray and Crystal Mayo of Paris; sons, Michael (Misty) Melton and Jeremy Melton all of Camden, Brandon Melton of Paris, K.J. (Kelly) Rodgers of Maryland, and Michael Tyler (Miranda) Melton of Japan; sisters, Evelyn (Walter) Snider of Camden, Margaret (Gary) Markham of Big Sandy, Doris Ann (Doug) Peterson of Camden, Annie Mae Standridge of Trezvant, and Lisa Kuykendall of Tennessee; brother, Larry Melton of Big Sandy; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and special friends. John was a Christian by faith. He dearly loved his family and especially his grandchildren. The family requests that memorials for Mr. Melton be made to the American Heart Association.
