John Thomas "Johnny" Scott, age 73 of Paris passed away, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Patriot Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center. His Celebration of Life will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21st. Burial will be at a later date in Bethlehem Cemetery. Johnny was born May 21, 1951, in Henry Co., TN to the late L.C. & Gertie Ellis Scott. Johnny was a member of Mansfield Baptist Church. He was known as "Popcorn Johnny" for serving popcorn at Henry School ballgames. Johnny is survived by four sons: Jeff Scott of Knoxville, Josh (Jeanne) Scott of Maryville, TN, Matt Scott of Buchanan, TN, and Derek (Latisha) Scott of McKenzie, TN; sisters: Carolyn (William) Wade of Tullahoma, TN and Linda (Gary) Montgomery of Paris; grandchildren: Jenny (Brad) Wade, Shannah Scott; Emilee (Dylan) Roberts, Dylan Scott, Devin Scott, Kadin Scott; Kathryn Bennett, Matthew Scott, Autumn Scott; Laila Scott, and Sara Scott; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides his parents, Johnny was also preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Scott, and a grandchild, Ariana Scott.
