John R. "Johnny" Taylor, age 63 of Paris, TN, passed away Monday afternoon, November 23, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital, Murray, KY. Funeral service 2:00PM Saturday, November 28, 2015 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Wilbur Farmer officiating with burial to follow on the family farm. Visitation 10:00AM Saturday until service time. Named as pallbearers are Jarrett Kinsland, Gary Beane, Craig Brown, Mark Brown, Jason Thompson, Carl Rogers. Glenn Lee, Alvin Shankle, Lester Snyder, Evan Lemonds and Andy Wengerd will serve as honorary pallbearers. He was born May 30, 1952 in Fort Jackson, SC to the late Robert Thomas Taylor, he preceded August 14, 2015 and Patricia Berry Taylor, Paris, TN. Survived by daughters: Mitzi Eckenrode, Paris, TN, Jana Taylor, Spokane, WA; step-son: Brett Peterson, Spokane, WA; sister: Carman Taylor Kinsland, Paris, TN; grandchild: Megan Eckenrode; great-grandchild: Ayreonna Lawrence and a nephew: Jarrett Kinsland, Paris, TN. Preceded by a brother: James "Jimmy" Taylor, February 19, 1994. Mr. Taylor was long time manager of Taylor Tire Company of Paris. He was an avid gardener and was a University of Tennessee Knoxville graduate with a degree in plants and soil science. He was a world news buff who enjoyed geography and religious history.
