Joseph Paul Lucarelli died on December 30, 2025 at his home in Port Orange, Florida.

Joe was born April 27, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Dominic and Rosemary (Hodson) Lucarelli. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving seven years as a Captain with tours of duty in Viet Nam, Germany and Belgium.

Joe graduated from college under the G.I. Bill, followed by a career as a restaurant manager before going back to school to receive a masters degree in school business administration from Northern Illinois University. He worked for many years as a public school teacher and administrator and briefly attended DePaul Law School. He was an avid fan of classic rock music, progressive politics and all of the Chicago sports teams.

He was first married to Diane Eubanks of Antioch, Illinois and later to Brenda Jo Martin and Norma Jane Loanne Dobbins who both preceded him in death.

He leaves one daughter, Melissa Elaine Lucarelli of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; one son Matthew Evan Lucarelli of Third Lake, Illinois; four grandchildren; four brothers, Harold Bud Lucarelli of Paris, Tennessee and Dominic Phillip Lucarelli of Springville, Tennessee, James Lucarelli of Wilmington Illinois, and Natali Lucarelli of Holly Hill, FL; and one sister Ann Peters of Chicago, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by one son, Mitchell Ethan Lucarelli in 2024, two brothers Clarence Williams and Kenneth Phillip Williams and two sisters Jackie Allen Duke and Leila Weger.
