Joy Jackson Greengrass

Joy Jackson Greengrass, age 91, of Buchanan, TN passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at her residence. Her celebration of life service will be 1:00 P.M. on Friday, October 2, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home with David Jackson to officiate.

Visitation is scheduled for Friday after 12:00 P.M. until time of service.

Joy Jackson was born June 16, 1935, in Buchanan, Tennessee to the late Lynn and Rubye Kirkland Jackson. She was preceded in death by her spouse George Lee Greengrass on December 28, 2016. She is survived by sons, Brad (Jean) Wyatt of Silt, CO, and Greg Wyatt (Jackie Martell) of BonAire, GA; sisters Betty Owen of Nashville, TN; grandchildren Chris Wyatt, Kyle Wyatt, and Sarah (Danny) Popish; great-grandchildren Tristan Popish and Abigail Popish.

Mrs. Greengrass is preceded in death by her sister, Delores Allen, and brothers David Hugh Jackson, Toy Lee Jackson, Roy Lowell Jackson, and Guy Wiggins Jackson.

Joy graduated from Buchanan High School and Murray State University. She was a Postmaster for 34 years. She was a member of Sulphur Wells Church of Christ.

She was an avid golfer, having two hole-in-ones, the last one at the age of 80.

Her family asks that memorial gifts be made to Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery Fund.
