Joy Weatherford, age 83 of Mt. Vernon, OH formerly of Paris, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at The Laurels of Mount Vernon. Her graveside service will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Bevil Cemetery with Craig Odem of Springhill Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow and there will be no visitation. Joy Weatherford was born September 30, 1934 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late Carl C. Hicks and the late Lorene Fitch Hicks. On November 13, 1950 he married Vernon E. Weatherford and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2013. Ms. Weatherford is survived by a daughter, Pat King of Mt. Vernon, OH; three sons: Michael Weatherford of California, Mark Weatherford of Michigan and Chad Weatherford of Mt. Vernon, OH; one sister, Pauline Eldridge Rhodes of Paris, TN; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Ms. Weatherford was also preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Thompson. Joy Weatherford was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. SERVICES Graveside Service
