Ms. Juanita Barnett Bomar, age 90, of Paris, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Paris Healthcare and Rehab. Her graveside service will be 11:30 A.M. Monday, March 18, 2019 at Olive Branch Cemetery, with Bro. Paul Veazey officiating, burial will follow the service. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Juanita Barnett Bomar was born December 22, 1928 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late James Ellis Barnett and the late Opal Townsend Barnett. She married Bernard Boyd Bomar in 1949 and he also preceded her in death on June 3, 1981. She is survived by her daughter: Sandra Marie Bomar of Martin; her son: Bernie Bomar of Paris; sisters: Frankie Lewis of Paris and Sue Applegate of Bruceton; brother: Sonny Barnett of Union City; grandchildren: Misty Sutton (Casey) McGregor of Martin and Shannon (Christy) Bomar of Paris; great grandchildren: James McGregor, Emma McGregor, and Hugh Bomar; also numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Bomar was a 1947 graduate of Cottage Grove High School. She served 23 years as an LPN with Henry County Medical Center. Juanita was a Baptist by faith. She enjoyed her flowers, working in the yard and was widely known for her legendary coconut cakes.
