Judith Ann "Judy" Nielsen Nunes, age 76 of Paris, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice in Murray. Her memorial service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church in Paris with Pastors Carol Wade and Arthur Lodge officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Judith Ann Nielson Nunes was born March 2, 1943 in Watsonville, CA to the late Jack Nielsen and the late Dorothy Hannah Nielsen. She was formerly married to James Lucus Nunes who preceded her in death on May 27, 2019. Ms. Nunes is survived by daughter, Carol (Raul "Fernando") Pons of Whitman, MA; son, David Nunes of Streamwood, IL; sister, Patricia (James) Kracht of Miami, FL; four grandchildren: David Nunes, Elizabeth Pons, Andrew Pons and Catherine Pons; a niece, Jennifer Lane and a nephew, Brian Kracht. Judy Nunes was a longtime active member of First Presbyterian Church in Paris. She was a special education school teacher both in California and in the Henry County School System. She loved animals and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: PLUS Endowment, P.O.
