Judy Jackson McClanahan

Judy Jackson McClanahan, age 81 of Mayfield, formerly of Henry Co., passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in Mayfield. Her funeral service will be at McEvoy Funeral Home at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, with Bro. Randy Stephens and grandson, Blake Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 am on Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Judy Jackson McClanahan was born January 17, 1945, in Paris, TN, to the late Levis and Madge Smith Jackson. On June 10, 1962, she married Leroy McClanahan, and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1989.

Mrs. McClanahan was a longtime member of Eastwood Church of Christ in Paris. She later attended and was a member of Puryear Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Puryear High School and was probably best known as Henry County Trustee for many years. Judy was a member of the Quota Club, the West Tennessee Trustee Association, the Tennessee Trustee Association, and the County Officials Association of Tennessee.

Judy is survived by her son, James “Mac” (Tammy) McClanahan of Mayfield, KY; grandchildren: Toni Robbins, Alexandra Jackson, Blake Jackson, and Paige Youngblood; eight great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marilyn Jackson; and numerous other family members, friends, and by her beloved friend and roommate, Sherese Burton of Mayfield.

Besides her parents and husband, Judy was also preceded in death by her brother, Joe Jackson, on February 20, 2026.
