Mr. Swain retired 1991 from the FAA as an air traffic controller for the Memphis International Air Route Control Center. Mr. Swain was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in the Navy, and was a member of the Shriners. A family member said that Julian will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather and for his jovial spirit.
He was born in Wimauma, FL to the late Beedy Jackson and Frankie Louise Standland Swain. On December 3, 1955 he married Sally Hudson Swain, she survives.
Survived by sons: Julian Jackson (Fran) Swain, Jr., Paris, Shawn Branic (Rene') Swain, Memphis; sister: Goldie Marie Mullins, Wimauma, FL; sister-in-law: Pat Swain, Little Rock, AK; brother: Marvin Dale (Roberta) Swain, Perry, FL; grandchildren: Brenda Swain (Chase) Percer, Shea Whitson, Branic Jackson Swain.
