Katherine C. Owens, age 88 of Paris, TN, passed away Sunday March 20, 2016 at Diversicare of Martin, TN. Funeral service 10:00AM Wednesday March 23, 2016 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Corey Sawyers of East Wood Church of Christ officiating, burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Josh Johnson, Shawnee Willis, Gary Medlock, Tylar Prokop and Hunter Bethune. Honorary pallbearers will be Derek Weatherford and all great-grandchildren. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Tuesday March 22, 2016 and after 9:00AM Wednesday. She was born in Henry , TN to the late George E. and Mary Bucy Claxton. On August 1, 1945 she married Aubrey R. Owens, he preceded February 4, 1986. Survived by a daughter: Kathy Weatherford, Paris, TN; grandchildren: Amanda (Josh Johnson) King, Jessica (Shawnee) Willis, Derek (Kelsey) Weatherford; great-grandchildren: Carter King, Jaxon Johnson, Marissa Lee, Aouna Boothe, Cole Willis, Shaylah Willis, Dakota Weatherford, Kierstyn Weatherford, Trevor Weatherford, Gracelyn Weatherford; nephew: Robert Claxton, NC and a niece: Sue Claxton, Paris, TN.
