Katherine Martin Rawls

Katherine Martin Rawls, age 100, formerly of Paris, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026 at her daughter and son-in-law’s residence in Camden, TN. Her funeral service will be held at 3:30 P.M. Friday, July 3, 2026 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Dale to officiate. Named as pallbearers are, Rick Moody, Javin Winders, Paul Hendrix, Mark Gray, Mason Gray, and Zachary “My Boy” Gray. Burial will follow services in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation with the family is planned for Friday, after 12:00 noon until time of the service.

Katherine was born on August 31, 1925, in the Palestine Community of Henry County, Tennessee to the late James Ripley Martin and the late Lela Freeman (Paul) Brody. She married Harry N. Rawls and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2005. Katherine is survived by her daughters, Sandra Gray Todd of Bartlett, and Cindy (Johnny) Lumpkin of Camden; grandchildren, Mark Gray and Mason (Tami) Gray; great-grandchildren, Zachary Gray, Hannah Gray, and Mei Mei Gray; great-great-grandchildren, Easton James Appling and Corbyn Appling; and by niece, Trudy Tucker Beach.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Rawls is also preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Martin Tucker; son-in-law, Ed Gray; and great-granddaughter, Katheryn “Katie” Elise Gray and her constant loving companion, Prissy.

Mrs. Rawls was a longtime, devoted and active member of East Wood Church of Christ. Katherine dearly loved her family, church family and Paris, Tennessee. Most of all she was devoted to the love of her life, husband, Harry.
