Keith Hopkins, age 87 of Paris passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at his residence. His graveside service will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2019 at Olive Branch Cemetery with Mike Wimberley of Olive Branch United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 AM Friday morning at McEvoy Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. Pallbearers will be Tim Lacy, Kenny Lacy, Jeremy Cox, Shane Cox, Chuck Elzondo, and John Garner. Keith Hopkins was born September 28, 1932 in Henry County to the late William Eli Hopkins and the late Della McDaniel Hopkins. On October 17, 1965 he married Patricia Cox Hopkins and she survives in Paris, TN. Mr. Hopkins is also survived by a daughter, Jacquline McDaniel of Cottage Grove, TN; sister, Dorothy Ward of Whitlock, TN; one grandchild; four great grandchildren; thirteen nieces and nephews; great niece, Amanda Cox; and great nephews, Jacob and Jeremy Cox. Besides his parents, Mr. Hopkins was also preceded in death by six sisters: Hinda Thomas, Sarah Owen, Johnnie Shankle, Rebecca Horvath, Regina Lamb and Kay Forsythe; and four brothers: George Hopkins, Reginald Hopkins, Doris Hopkins and Mills Rhodes Barfield. Keith Hopkins graduated from Cottage Grove High School. He was a Baptist and he retired after 30 years from the Paris Police Department. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #109 in Cottage Grove and he was a Veteran serving in the United States Army.
