Funeral service for "Miss Lamar" will be 11:00AM Thursday at the First United Methodist Church - Paris with burial to follow at Maplewood Cemetery, visitation 6:00 until 8:00 Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home. She is survived by niece; Charlotte Whitby, Memphis, TN, Great niece; Amy Lynn Anderson, Horn Lake, MS, great nephews, Kip Roberts, Christopher Wright and John Wright all of Memphis, 5 great great nieces, 2 great great nephews, cousins; Stanley Cooper, Jr., Marjorie Marshall, James Porter Cooper and Carlisle Cooper. Preceded by her parents; Rev. Pittman D.T. Roberts and Floy Cooper Roberts, brother; Milton L. Roberts, niece; Ann Cooper Roberts, nephew; Milton A. "Drew" Roberts and great nephew; Michael Wright. Graduated from Memphis State College in 1936 and Murray State University with her master's degree, retired in 1979 after 43 years of coaching girls basketball in Henry County, inducted into the Henry County Coaches Hall of Fame January 29, 2001. Member of the First United Methodist Church-Paris where she was a member of the church choir and taught Sunday school. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church P.O.
