Mr. Larry T. Raines, age 73 of Buchanan, TN, formerly of Puryear passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at his residence. Larry's Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Birds Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Gallimore officiating. Visitation is scheduled at the church on Thursday after 4:00 P.M. until service time at 6:00 P.M. Larry Thomas Raines was born June 19, 1949 in Paris, Tennessee. He married Patsy Hunter Raines on October 1, 1970 and she survives in Buchanan. Larry is also survived by his daughter, Patricia Ramirez of McEwen, TN; son, Jason Raines and his wife Natalie of Paris; grandchildren, Kayle Raines, Emily Raines, Ava Raines, Londyn Raines, Amanda Patrum, and Selena Ramirez; six great grandchildren; and also by numerous cousins and other family members. Mr. Raines was a longtime member of Birds Creek Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in Korea during the Viet Nam conflict. He loved camping, fishing and the outdoors.
