Funeral service 1:00PM Thursday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Grant Ostrom officiating, burial will follow at Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery in Mansfield, TN. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Wednesday and after 10:00AM Thursday. She was born in Henry County, TN to the late Asa Carl and Myrtle Virginia Porter Hoofman. Survived by son: Tommy Whitworth, Saltillo, TX; sister: Madge Conyers, Springville; grandchildren: Johnny (Carol) Whitworth, Kathy (Jerry) Thweatt, Mitchell (Shelia) Whitworth, Tommy (Jenny) Whitworth, David Travis Whitworth and Justice Whitworth; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; special friend: Betty Simmons Wilson, Hollow Rock. Preceded by husband: John Victor Whitworth, 1988; husband: Alvin Travis Hoofman, 1970; sisters: Gladys Hill, Vivian Dowdy; brother: Thomas Quitman Hoofman. Mrs. Hoofman was a member of Spring Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She formerly worked at Henry County Nursing Home as Activity Coordinator and beautician.
