Funeral service 1:00PM Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Trent Bullock of First Baptist Church and Phillip Maxwell her nephew officiating with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are Jerry Maddox, Bobby J. Perry, Phillip Maxwell, Austin Perry, Chunky Jackson and Ed Wheatley.
Visitation 10:00AM until time of service Tuesday.
She was born in Paris to the late Ray and Minnie Hicks Maxwell. On September 17, 1945 she married Lewis L. Jackson, he preceded June 13, 2012.
Survived by daughters: Lydia (Donnie) Linville, Paris, Kay (Avery) Myers, McMinnville; brothers: Elwood (Connie) Maxwell, Springville, John (Charlene) Maxwell, Baton Rouge, LA; brother-in-law: Doug (Helen) Jackson, Germantown; sisters-in-law: Katherine Jackson, Paris, Betty Olson, Memphis, Pattye Hudson, Collierville; grandchildren: Greg (Tiffany)Linville, O'Fallon, MO, Lisa (Chip) Hutson, Buchanan, Phillip Clingman, FL; great-grandchildren: Charly, Grady and Mary Mabel Hutson, all of Buchanan, Katherine, Maggie, Tytus and Tripp Linville, all of O'Fallon, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mrs. Jackson worked for Rogers Jewelers in downtown Paris for 20 plus years. She was a member of First Baptist Church since 1957 and enjoyed her Sunday School Class and study of the Bible. Her many hobbies included reading, sewing, genealogy and cooking. She graduated from Grove High School in 1944 as Salutatorian of her class.
