Leona Jacobs, age 94 of Paris, formerly of Michigan, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at her residence. Her memorial service will be held later in the spring at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak, Michigan. Leona Jacobs was born June 6, 1926 in Paris, Tennessee to the late O.W. Gatewood and the late Altha Rawls Gatewood. On March 22, 1949 she married Thomas Q. Caldwell and he preceded her in death. On August 4, 1972 she married Paul C. Jacobs and he preceded her in death on April 29, 2002. Ms. Jacobs enjoyed playing cards, antiquing, yard sales, traveling, eating at Red Lobster, going to casinos, being outdoors, and spending time with her friends and family. Ms. Jacobs is survived by two daughters: Angela Caldwell of Paris and Deborah (Chris) Freeman of Waterford, MI; four sons: Joel (Debbie) Penny of Lexington, KY, Steve (Judy) Caldwell of Paris, Gary (Pam) Caldwell of Waterford, MI and Ronald Caldwell (Becky Shaw) of Warren, MI; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Janice Caldwell; and special friend, Barbara Ross of Paris. Besides her parents and husbands, Leona was also preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Watts; a son, Thomas Caldwell; a sister, Laverne Etheridge; and a brother, William D. Gatewood.
