Funeral service 11:00AM Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Trent Bullock and Bro. Scott Shepherd of First Baptist Church, Military Honors and burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

He was born in Henry County to the late Owen Henry and Ruth Lee Jackson. On September 17, 1945 he married Laurine Maxwell Jackson, Paris, TN.
Survived by daughters: Lydia (Donnie) Linville, Paris, Kay (Avery) Myers, McMinnville; sisters: Betty Olson, Germantown, Pattye Hudson, Collierville; sisters-in-law: Edith Jackson and Katherine Jackson, both of Paris; brother: Doug (Helen) Jackson, Germantown; brothers-in-law: Elwood (Connie) Maxwwell, Springville, John (Charlene) Maxwell, Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren: Greg (Tiffany) Linvelle, O'Fallon, MO, Lisa (Chip) Hutson, Buchanan, Phillip Clingman, Tucson, AZ; great-grandchildren: Charly, Grady and Mary Mabel Hutson, all of Buchanan, Katherine, Maggie and Tytus Linville all of O'Fallon, MO, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Preceded by a sister: Frances Goodson; three brothers: Harold, Archie and James Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris since 1957 where he was a past deacon. Served in WWII in 104th Infantry Timberwolves, also honored with a Purple Heart. He was adopted by the Grove Class of 1945. Retired from the Board of Public Utilities after 30 years of service, after retirement he enjoyed traveling an took pride in his flower and yard. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and spent his time woodworking making many birdhouses and checkerboards.
