Linda Sue Steele

Mrs. Linda Sue Steele, age 76, of Puryear, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Murray Calloway County General Hospital. Her funeral service *will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 22, 2026, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Cliff Evans to officiate. Burial will follow services in Puryear City Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation with the family is planned on Friday, after 9:00 A.M. until time of service.

Linda Sue Cagle Steele was born December 30, 1949, in Cuba, KY to the late Lewis Cagle and the late Velma Peal Cagle. She married Bobby G. Steele in October of 2004, and he survives in Puryear. Mrs. Cagle is also survived by her daughters, Tammy (John) White of Olive Hill, KY, Tracy Butler of Dallas, TX, Valerie (Jimmy) Wynn of Paris, and Sabrina Steele of Buchanan; sons, Tim (Kelly) Duncan of Murray and Shane (Amanda) Steele of Kenosha, WI; sisters, Barb (Richard) Redfern of Kentucky and Donna Moore of Union City; brother, Charles Cagle of Union City. Linda is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

Besides her parents, Linda is also preceded in death by her brother, Joe Cagle.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
