Lois "Mildred" Williams, age 88, of McKenzie, Tennessee passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at Henry County Medical Center. Her funeral service will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Liberty United Methodist Church in McKenzie with Bro. James Smith and Bro. Lathan McLean officating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Tony Orr, Gary French, Mark Powell, Carl Powell, Greg Pace, Ronnie Orr, and Dennis Eason. Visitation is scheduled on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at McEvoy Funeral Home and on Tuesday after 11:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Lois Mildred Williams was born December 19, 1931 in Henry County, Tennessee to the late William Allen Porter and the late Lois Emily Wiseman Porter. She married Thomas Earl Williams on March 18, 1952 in Mississippi and he preceded her in death on September 24, 1994. She is survived by her sons, James Thomas (Karen) Williams of McLemoresville, TN, Billy Ray Williams of Paris, and Terry Allen (Beth) Williams of South Fulton, TN; five grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Besides her parents and spouse, Mildred is also preceded in death by a son, Michael Earl Williams (died at birth in 1957) and brothers, William Allen Porter, Robert Wallace Porter and James Lueco Porter. Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Springville High School. She was an active member of Liberty Methodist Church for over 50 years. Mildred also enjoyed singing in choirs.
