Mrs. Lorene Estelle Erwin, age 90 of Springville passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at her residence. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Hoots officiating. Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service. Lorene Estelle Erwin was born December 27, 1929 in Steele, Missouri to the late Joseph Hardy Cheek and the late Ollie Lee Howard Cheek. On September 19, 1942 she married Mr. Max Roy Erwin of Springville, TN. She is survived by two daughters: Judy Fullwood of Grand Blanc, MI and Brenda Buys of Millington, TN; two sisters: Ella Cales of Flushing, MI and Della Richards of Ann Arbor, MI; ten grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son: Billy R. Erwin in 2002; three sisters: Dora Driskill, Clara Beyer, and Margaret Green; and four brothers: Bruce, Boyd, Melvin, and Johnny Cheek.
