Funeral service 12:00PM Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Ed Smith of Friendship Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery. Selected as pallbearers are Mitchell Wood, Timothy Wood, Sean Samonig, Bob McCoy and Mark Pilson. Visitation after 10:00AM Saturday until service time. Born in Henry County to the late Roy lee and Sarah Elizabeth Wimberley Cooper. She married Joseph R. Samonig June 14, 1944, he preceded October 30, 2004. Survived by daughters: Pamela Wehner, Springville, TN, Gloria (Ronnie) Bryant, Pace, FL; son: Donald (Barbara) Samonig, Pell Lake, WI; sisters-in-law: Olyne Cooper, Paris, TN, Carol Cooper, Franklin Park, IL; grandchildren: Roy Lee Ward, Cheryl Phillips, Laura Pilson, Terry Wray, Angela Buzek, Thomas Buzek, Melinda Buzek, Amber Karow, Amy Samonig, Joseph Samonig, Jason Samonig, Sean Samonig and Fallon Reagan; twenty one great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by son: David Samonig; sister: Mary Reynolds; four brothers: Burt, James, Robert and Herman Cooper. Mrs. Samonig was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
