Louise Crafton, age 83 of Paris, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at her residence. Her funeral service will be graveside at Eastview Cemetery in Camden at 2:45 pm on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, with Bro. Gary Greer of Grace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow the graveside service. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, prior to leaving for the graveside service.
Louise Crafton was born October 5, 1941, in Camden, TN, to the late Joe and Agnes McElroy Neely. She married Dewey Crafton on October 3, 1959, and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2011.
Louise worked and retired from Henry Co. Medical Center after 25 years of service. She enjoyed playing games with her children & grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, word search, bingo, dancing, and reading.
Ms. Crafton is survived by her daughters: Sylvia (Ira) Greer of Paris, Penny (Morris) Rogers of Hollow Rock, and Susie (William) Umstead of Paris; son, Ricky (Kim) Crafton of Cumberland Furnace, TN; sisters: Ann Cunningham of Camden, and Joyce (Ronnie) Dyer of Pinson Mounds, TN; grandchildren: Jasmyn Pinkston, Tara (Josh) Edwards, Brenna Frazier, Amber Hill, Alyssa Crafton, Brandon (Emily) Umstead, Brooke Goff, Edward Crafton, and Faith (Janson) Cook; seventeen great-grandchildren; her sister-in-love, Carolyn Keefer; and her special niece, Kim Hvarre.
Besides her parents and husband, Louise was also preceded in death by a sister, Caroline Wheatley, a brother, Billy Joe Neely, and a grandson, Terry Pinkston.
Pallbearers for Ms. Crafton will be Morris Rogers, William Umstead, Ira Greer, Jasmyn Pinkston, Brandon Umstead, and Edward Crafton.
