Funeral service 10:00AM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Stephens of Sulphur Well Church of Christ officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Jason Parker, Curt Parker, Jesse Parker, Dale Joyner, Matthew Joyner, Mark Chandler. Honorary pallbearers are Lowell Brisendine and Mike Chandler. Visitation 4:00 - 7:00PM Tuesday and after 9:00AM Wednesday. He was born in Paris to the late Raymond W. and Winnie Ruth Baker McKenzie. On December 26, 1991 he married Janie Chandler McKenzie, she survives in Springville. Survived by sons: Tony (Tracy Matheny) Parker, Big Sandy, Curtis Parker, Puryear, Jason (Shannon) Parker, Springville; sisters: Betty (Glenn) Brown, Henry, Shirley (Kenny) Mann, McKenzie, Bonnie McCall, Orlando, FL; grandchildren: seven; great-grandchildren: four; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Preceded by sisters: Dorothy Burke, Wealthy Fischer, Anita Harrison; brothers: Roy McKenzie, Edwin McKenzie and Raymond McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was a member of the Sulphur Well Church of Christ. He had worked for Holley Carburetor, was a mobile home dealer and also sold used cars. Jonah was a wonderful husband, brother and family man.
