Funeral service 10:00AM Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Rob Martin officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Michael Atchison, Brad Shelton, John Dale French, Steve Clendenin, Larry Wilson and Bob Wagoner. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00 Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 9:00AM until service time Saturday at First United Methodist Church. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Eddie McKenzie Pierce. On April 18, 1943 she married James D. Atchison, he preceded December 13, 1993. Survived by a daughter: Ann (John) Shelton, Paris; son: Mike Atchison, Paris; grandchildren: Janna Stubblefield, Kylie Lynn Atchison, Robert Settlemier; sister-in-law: Elizabeth Robertson, Paris and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by sisters: Lavelle Stockdale, Clairnelle Peters and a brother: Milton Pierce. Mrs. Atchison was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed with Holley Carburetor Plant and the Clippard Plant. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she enjoyed painting and sewing.
