Margaret A. Hughes

Margaret A. Hughes, age 90, Puryear, TN, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Arbor Place of Puryear. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home with burial to follow in Puryear City Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 - 8:00 PM Saturday and after 12:00 Sunday. Mrs. Hughes married Robert Noble Hughes on January 16, 1937 and he preceded her on October 26, 1989. Her parents were Albert S. and Pearl Robinson Atkins, both preceded. She is survived by daughter, Dinah Westerman, Murray, KY, son, Rickie (Sharon) Hughes, Puryear, TN and preceded by son-in-law, Robert Westerman in 1999. She has four grandchildren, Robin (Steve) Waddell, Blythewood, SC, Dana Westerman, Louisville, KY, Justin (Jamie) Hughes, Puryear, TN and Alicia (Johnathon) Maxwell, Dover, TN, three great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hayden Hughes and Holly Peavy. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was a member of Puryear Church of Christ and attended Puryear High School. She was a homemaker.
