Marjorie Lipps Cranford, age 95, of Nashville, formerly of Paris, passed away at Maristone of Franklin Assisted Living. Her family graveside service will be 12:00 P.M. Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Gray Cemetery in Buchanan with burial to follow, and her son, Dr. Scott Cranford to officiate. Pallbearers will be family members. No visitation is scheduled. Marjorie Lipps Cranford was born January 17, 1924 in Paris, Tennessee to the late Taz G. Lipps and the late Estella Wofford Lipps. She married L.E. Cranford on June 29, 1941 and he preceded her in death on October 18, 1996. Marjorie is survived by her sons, Dr. Scott (Anita) Cranford of Franklin, Lee (Diane) Cranford of Nashville and Dr. Barry Cranford of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, Marjorie is also preceded in death by her brother, Lenwell Lipps. Mrs. Cranford worked as a travel agent and visited spots all over the world. Her favorite place to travel was the Middle East, visiting there a sum of 57 times. Marjorie was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was a Veteran's hospital volunteer.
