Marlene Shortridge, age 83 of Springville, TN passed away peacefully March 4th at her home after a long illness. She was a member of the Point Pleasant Baptist Church, a believer of prayer and loved God. Marlene was born in Ojai, California. She loved girls softball and showed that love by coaching and managing many teams over the years. Marlene is survived by her husband Jim Shortridge; her son James Shortridge, Jr. of Sacramento, California; and by her daughter and son in law Vicki and Neil Earley of Springville, Tennessee.
