Charles "Marlon" Smith, age 59 of Springville, TN passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 12, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Nation officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, May 11, 2022, and after 11:00 AM Thursday until service time at 2:00. Charles "Marlon" Smith was born July 5, 1962, in Paris, TN to the late Charles Brummitt Smith and the late Joy Fair Wade Smith. On August 21, 1981, he married Tammy McClain Smith and she survives in Springville, TN. Marlon was an avid farmer, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He had a passion for logging and was a longtime employee of Fox Lumber Company. Marlon is also survived by two sons: Justin (Amber) Smith of Springville, TN, and Colton (Silence) Smith of Hewitt, TX; five grandchildren: Canyon Smith, Keegan Losby, Kaidy Losby, Rayne Losby, and Bella Losby; sister, Robin (Jim) Bellis; three brothers: Russell Smith, Lanny Smith, and Mitchell (Vicki) Smith, all of Springville, TN; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
