Martha "Marty" Smith Kilgore, age 70 of Buchanan, TN, passed away Monday, December 12, 2016 at her residence in Buchanan.A family "Celebration of Life/Marty Party" and luncheon will be held from 12:00 until 2:00PM Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, 225 Van Dyke Grove Road, Paris, TN. All family and friends are invited. She was born April 15, 1946 in Henry County, TN to the late Carmen and Ivaleen Sanders Smith. On January 22, 1994 she married Duane Kilgore, he survives Buchanan, TN. Survived by daughters: Mandy (Scott) McDevitt, Paris, TN, Toni (Charles "Chick" Leiby) Flowers, Brigantine, NJ; sisters: Sandy (Gary) Hastings, Mansfield, TN, Betty Atchison, Paris, TN, Wanda Small, Paris, TN, Theresa Willoughby, Buchanan, TN; brother: Tony (Penny) Smith, Paris, TN; grandchildren: Delia McDevitt, Liam McDevitt, Riley McDevitt, Six Leiby and Will Leiby; many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Preceded by a sister: Carleen Hickman. Marty loved children and helping others. Her family requests in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the "Backpack Program" which sends nutritious foods home with children who may not have anything to eat over weekends away from school.
