Martha Ann Barlow Smith, age 76 of Springville, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at Henry County Healthcare Center. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, January 30, 2020 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Dusty Stout officiating. Burial will follow at Van Dyke Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home after 11:00 AM Thursday, prior to the service. Pallbearers for Ms. Smith will be Jay Burnett, David Smith, Jr., Artie Jackson, Jr., Rube Elliott, Kenneth McFarland, and Michael Parker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Wayne Milligan, Dale Felgenhauer, Steve Garner, and Keith Brawner. Martha Ann Barlow Smith was born February 11, 1943 in Clinton, Tennessee to the late John Thomas Barlow and the late Evelyn Day Barlow. On February 11, 1963 she married James W. "J.W." Smith and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2013. Ms. Smith is survived by her daughter, Pam Burnett of Paris; son, David Smith of Springville; three grandchildren: Kayla Burnett, Jay Burnett, and David Smith, Jr.; two great grandchildren: Hadlee Wall and Greyson Wall; sister, Bess Sanford of Williston, FL; two sisters-in-law: Nelda Pinson and Ruthie Parker both of Paris; brother-in-law, Arthur Waymire of Byhalia, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Ms. Smith was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Burnett; two sisters: Mary Jackson and Zelma Barlow; two brothers: JT Barlow and Bill Barlow; sister-in-law, Jarutha Waymire; and five brothers-in-law: Artie Jackson, Tom Stanford, Joe Pinson, Wallace Parker, and Paul Smith.
