Mary Evelyn Barrow, 92, of Centralia, IL passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born November 7, 1926 in Stewart County, Tennessee, daughter of George W. Barrow and Katie (Noel) Barrow. She married Elroy E. Barrow on December 12, 1944 in Murray, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on January 11, 1999. Mary Evelyn is survived by eight children: Jane Friend of Centralia, Kenny Barrow of Centralia, Kay Tinsley and husband Bob of Centralia, Sherri Lowery and husband Dave of Centralia, Joyce Hart and husband David of Woodlawn, Nancy Simpson and husband Randy of Centralia, Cindy Barrow of Centralia, and Kim Moss and husband Keith of New Memphis, Illinois; 19 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way, and 1great-great-granddaughter; a special daughter-in-law: Jo Ann Barrow of Centralia; a brother: Leon Barrow and wife Sybil of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law: Martha Barrow of Murray, Kentucky and Juanita Barrow of Buchanan, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include five sons-in-law: Bob Tinsley, Dave Lowery, David Hart, Randy Simpson, Keith Moss, and three grandsons: Gene Carpenter, Michael Hart, and Kory Moss. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin infants, a grandson: Ryan Conroy, a great-grandson: Brayden Wooldridge, four brothers: Gene Barrow, Robert Barrow, Floyd Barrow, and Ray Barrow; two sisters-in-law: Juanita Barrow and Beth Barrow; and a son-in-law, Jerry Friend. Mary Evelyn was a faithful member of the Wamac Missionary Baptist Church for 63 years, where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher and Co-Treasurer. Mary Evelyn had a strong belief in God and her Church, and instilled in her family a lasting legacy of enduring faith and family values. She enjoyed quilting, embroidering, and canning from the family garden. She was an avid reader. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, friends and her beloved dog, Pixie. Funeral Services for Mary Evelyn Barrow will be held Friday, November 23, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Mc Evoy Funeral Home in Paris, Tennessee. Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home in Paris, Tennessee. Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, Tennessee. SERVICES
