Mrs. Mary Ann Chandler, age 87, of Portland, Tennessee, formerly of Paris, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Maple Cottage Memory Care of Hendersonville. Her funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022, at McEvoy Funeral Home with Dr. Robert "Bob Curry" Chandler of Nashville and Bro. Joshua Wolf of Blue Star Church of Christ in Claremore, OK officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled after 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, until the time of service at 2:00 P.M. Pallbearers for Mrs. Chandler will be Curry Chandler, Caleb Wolf, Joshua Wolf, Chris Della Pace, Jon Deloach and Troy Buttrey. Mary Ann Roberts Chandler was born April 2, 1934, in Paris, TN to the late Wendell Curtis Roberts and the late Mary Margaret Humphreys Roberts Curry. On April 21, 1955, she married Robert Eugene Chandler and he preceded her in death on August 4, 2013. After retiring from 25 years of teaching, Mary Ann ran a Mother's Day Out Program called J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) for 12 years at Griffin Road Church of Christ in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. She and Bob loved to travel and also play rook. She loved baking and teaching Bible School. Mrs. Chandler is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Meg" Wolf (Barry) of Portland, TN; her son, Robert "Bob" Curry Chandler (Anita) of Nashville, TN; five grandchildren: Robert "Curry" Chandler, Katey McSpadden (Ben), Keighley Chandler, Joshua Wolf (Neely), and Caleb Wolf (Heather); two great-grandchildren: Owen Eugene Wolf and Kairi Michelle Wolf; and two nephews: Thomas "Tommy" Anderson and O.C. Ferrell Jr. Besides her parents and husband, Mary Ann was also preceded in death by her step-father, Maben Burnett Curry.
