Mary Elizabeth McLeod, age 74 of Paris, TN formerly of Akron, OH, passed away on Wednesday September 25, 2019 at Henry County Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born to the late Forrest and Sarah Gray on October 11, 1944. Mary moved to Paris, TN in 2008 to be with her daughter and granddaughters. Mary is survived by her daughter Laura (Steven) Thomas, sons David (Ellen) Phlieger, James (Kim) Phlieger, Timothy Phlieger and Shawn Engle; grandchildren, Mary, Victoria, Sara, Jacob, Alex, Adam and Tiffany; and a sister Pamela (Tom) Rathbun. Mary was predeceased by her parents and son Terence Phlieger. A loving mother and retired paralegal, Mary was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays but really any function that called for food. She was a dedicated grandmother attending different sporting and dance events cheering them on. Private services and burial will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank those who have extended emotional support for Mary during her final days.
