Evelyn, as she was known, was a dedicated Wife, beloved Mother and Homemaker. Her great unconditional love (other than Clyde) was children, and they in turn all loved her. She was a true southern belle - gentle, kind, nurturing, hospitable and generous to all. Her 65 year marriage was wonderfully entertaining and unique, as evidenced by the stories Clyde would recount before his short absence from her. She loved her Lord and to sing about Him. Even in some of her last precious moments, she sang of His love and wonderfulness, raising her hand in praise. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church, and a very active member of Van Dyke Baptist Church for 17 years in MI . She had worked as a secretary at Paris Automotive School, Chesemore Clinic, and the church. But her true legacy forever lies in the hearts of all who knew, and therefore loved her.
