Mary E. "Betty" Presson, age 86 of Paris, formerly of Michigan, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019 at her residence. Her funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, September 9, 2019 at McEvoy Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt of Northview Church of Christ in Columbia, TN officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be at McEvoy Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Heath Allen, Jacob Allen, Austin Allen, Wesley Sajovic, Brandon Herrington and Ryan Herrington. Mary E. Presson was born November 26, 1932 in Reeves, Obion County, Tennessee to the late Roma S. Watson and the late Sally T. Hopper Watson. On July 23, 1951 she married Eztira D. "Zet" Presson and he survives in Paris, TN. She is also survived by one daughter, Debbie (Tim) Roberts of Columbia, TN; one son, Michael (Teresa) Presson of Greenfield, TN; one brother, John (Carol) Watson of Trenton, Michigan; ten grandchildren: Lisa Marie (Heath) Allen, Brandon (April) Herrington, Elizabeth (Andy) Sajovic, Ryan (Laura) Herrington, Taylor (Chandler) Wills, Josh Mexico, James Presson, Elizabeth Presson, Michael D. Presson, Jr., and Kenny Presson; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, Mrs. Presson was also preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers. Mary E. "Betty" Presson was baptized in 1960 at Wyandotte Church of Christ and served our Savior all her life at Gateway, Trenton, Lincoln Park and East Wood Church of Christ. She taught classes of all ages. Special thanks to her niece Diana Lynn Hargrove and great niece Jennifer Crawford for being her caregiver right up to the end.
