Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Rogers died early Saturday morning at Henry County Medical Center at the age of 91. Her funeral sevice will be at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 29, 2011 with visitation starting at noon the same day. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery in Buchanan, TN. On February 23, 1938, Mary Elizabeth Evans married Charles Morgan Rogers, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1969. Mary Rogers is survived by daughters; Debra Elkins of Paris, TN, and Brenda (Connie) McGuire of Dyersburg, TN, daughter-in-law; Carolyn Rogers of Paris, TN, brother; Leon Evans of Paris, TN, grandchildren; Russell (Anita) Rogers of Paris, TN, Traci (Mitch) Ellis of Paris, TN, and Stacia (Michael) Puckett of Paris, TN, great-grandchildren; Morgan, Madison and Adam Rogers, Blake, Joslyn and Maddie Ellis, and Ben Puckett, all of Paris, TN. Besides her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Alonzo Washington Evans and Betty Fay Williams Evans, sons; Billy Morgan Rogers and Larry Carter Rogers, brothers; George, Henry and Duhl Evans.
