Funeral service 10:30AM Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Allison officiating, burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Thursday and after 9:00AM Friday. Survived by her husband: Earl Shankle, Paris; daughters: Jena Barnes, Paris, Judy (Robert "Shag") Collins, Paris; sons: Alvin (Margie) Shankle, Paris, Billy (Sherry) Johnson, Paris; sister: Margaret Bevill, Paris; sisters-in-law: Eve Bevil, Steamboat Springs, CO, Frances Bevill, Memphis, TN; grandchildren: Heather Ray, Amanda Hendrix, Thomas Johnson, Heather Presson, Marie Lee, Wesley Hardin, Tonya Buxton, Stephen Collins; great-grandchildren: sixteen; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded by her parents: Chester C. and Ruby McClure Bevill; son-in-law: Bill Barnes; sisters: Eva Bevill, Verleen Bomar, Christine Dunlap, Norma Griggs; brothers: Robert Bevill, Herbert Bevill and Rupert Bevill. Mrs. Shankle was a member of West Paris Baptist Church. She was a 1942 graduate of E.W. Grove High School and retired from Holley Carburetor Plant. Mary Jane was a wonderful cook and well known for her banana pudding and apple cake.
