Funeral service 1:00PM Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Simmons of First Baptist Church officiating, burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00PM Tuesday and after 11:00AM Wednesday. She was the daughter of the late E.O. and Bessie Ellen Dinwiddie Hicks. On June 27, 1948 she married Richard Harrell Smith, he preceded February 6, 2009. Survived by a daughter Debra (Dudley) Kinsley, Floral Park, NY; son: Richard M. "Mike" (Dawn) Smith, Warrenton, VA; sister: Betty Herndon, Paris; grandchildren: Rebecca Frances Smith, Lexington, KY, Kelley Elizabeth Stoker, Memphis and several nieces and nephews. Preceded by a sister: Martha Murphy and a brother George Hicks. Mrs. Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paris. She attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis and was a Dental Assistant. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 313 North Poplar Street, Paris, TN 38242.
